VBS Registration

camp firelight

Dear Parents or Guardians,

We are so excited for your child to be joining us this year for our Vacation Bible School (VBS)! Each child who will be attending VBS MUST be registered separately, no exceptions.

VBS will be Monday August 3 - Wednesday August 5, 5:30pm – 8:00pm. It will be for children three (3) years old through 5th grade.

Our theme this year is, Camp Firelight. Each day, Campers will explore timeless Bible stories that show Campers how to trust God in the face of their own fears. We will learn about people in the Bible who experienced the gift of a trusting relationship with God. In addition, to learning to trust that God will go with us, lead the way, share wisdom, to give us peace, and spark joy as we celebrate the good news of Jesus in our own lives and in the lives of others.

We will have a Kid-to-Kid Mission Project. This project is serving neighbors and kids in the community. We will be supporting two projects supported at Hickory Grove UMC:

  • WeCare Food and Clothing Pantry - a ministry that helps families in need that live in the Hickory Grove community
  • Please bring peanut butter or jelly to support this mission project.
  • SNACK Pack - a ministry that supports the highest at need students at Hickory Grove Elementary.
  • Please bring canned soup or canned pasta (like Chef Boyardee) to support this mission project.

We will serve dinner each day of camp starting at 5:30pm – 6:00pm. We invite the family to join us.

If you have questions, please contact Jennifer at giraffe@carolina.rr.com or Jennifer at jscoggins7@carolina.rr.com or call the church office at(704) 537-4686.
