Easter Music

The Chancel Choir invites seasonal singers to come join us for rehearsing our special Good Friday and Easter music on Thursday nights from 7:00-8:00 pm starting on Thursday, February 20.

Non-experienced singers are more than welcome. If you’ve been curious about singing with the choir, this is a wonderful opportunity to try it out! The Good Friday presentation of Sir John Stainer’s “Crucifixion” is going to be on Friday, April 10 at 7:00 pm.

The Music and Fine Arts Ministry at Hickory Grove invites you to find your place of service and worship within one or more of the following ensembles…

Chancel Choir
This choir leads the congregation in worship at the 9:15am traditional service on a weekly basis, and provides music for special services at Easter and Christmas. The choir rehearses on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room.

Therapy

Our praise band, Therapy, and our song teams lead the congregation in worship at the 11:11am contemporary service on a weekly basis.

Music Makers
A Senior Adult music ministry group who outreach in the community singing and playing instruments.

Children’s Choirs

Rehearse: As Needed
These children have a great time learning to sing and to love music. Each choir will have the opportunity to sing in all three services at least once every two months. They also prepare for Christmas and/or Spring Musicals.

HG Youth Choir

Rehearse: As Needed
This choir is made up of a group of 6th -12th graders and is an excellent way for youth to interact on a musical level. The Youth Choir sings a variety of music and is set in a fun atmosphere.

Liturgical Dance

Rehearse: As Needed
These dance troupes participate in contemporary worship, cantatas, and other special events throughout the year.

Drama Team

Rehearse: As Needed

A multigenerational group that meet as needed to prepare dramas/dramatic readings to worship and special programs.

Handbells

Rehearse: As Needed

The Handbell Choir rehearses in the Bell Room located beside the Choir Room prior to scheduled performances.
